Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookies

Don't you just love the bulk food section in the grocery store? The one at our store, Central Market, is so big you can practically get lost in there. Unlimited amounts of nuts, snack mixes, dried fruits, and candy- it makes me so happy. My husband is a big fan of the yogurt covered pretzels from there, and he's also a big fan of chocolate chip cookies, so this morning I decided to integrate the two. Sweet and salty, chewy with a little crunch - these won't last long in our house.

Recipe
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups yogurt covered pretzels, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 375. Cream the butter and sugars, then beat in the eggs and vanilla. Mix in the flour, soda, and salt. Fold in the pretzels and chocolate chips. Scoop dough onto an ungreased baking sheet and bake for about 9 minutes. Happy weekend!
