Spinning with Six:02 at Terlingo Cycle

Hi blogging friends! I’ve been absent. Really absent. I can’t help it.

I promise you I have some really delicious recipes coming up, but in the meantime I want to tell you about what I’ve been doing to counteract all of the cheese that I just incorporated into the best broccoli cheese soup ever (will post soon!):  spinning.  I attended a media event last week that was hosted by the retail store Six:02 at my favorite cycling studio Terlingo Cycle with my favorite spinning instructor Jessica Watts; then we got to meet other bloggers/members of the Dallas media community afterward and snack on things like organic jalapeno hummus (yum) and cleansing juices made with things like kale (I tried it).  The event was a huge success  and allowed me to meet lots of other bloggers and form three conclusions: 1) I am very grateful that I enjoy spinning so much with Jessica (or I should say my a$$ is), 2) I am obsessed with Six:02 and their beautiful workout clothes, and 3) I am never going to be the type of person that can do a juice cleanse. I struggled with myself for a few seconds, wondering why I don't have that sort of dedication or more importantly why I can't give up food for any period of time. Then I made peace with it.

Anyway.  Dallasites, have you heard of Six:02?!? It’s where fashion meets fitness. Literally.  Can you think of a more appropriate market than Dallas to launch this new retail concept? I can’t. Fashion motivates the beautiful women of Dallas.  It motivates them to shop, to dine out, to attend events, to save (and spend) money, to be seen, to be tagged, and of course, to WORK OUT.  And who doesn’t need a little additional motivation to work out? We all do!

Walk into a Six:02 store (located in Inwood Village and The Galleria) and you’ll see what I mean. Amazingly cute women’s workout gear in bright & fun colors, flattering fits, and extreme comfort technology bursting out of every wall.  I made up the part about extreme comfort technology, but based on my experience with their products it must be true. They carry all the favorite brands – Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, etc….but their picks are fun.  Really fun, and exactly what we want. Go check out a store immediately, and try to walk out of there without your week’s paycheck worth of gym fashion.
And while I’m endorsing things (no I am not receiving any kickbacks).  (but would gladly accept them).  Try Terlingo Cycle if you’re into spinning. No kidding, best workout I have come across in Dallas. Great cardio plus toning, with the BEST music and BEST sweat. And you’ll want to show up in Six:02 gear because this is where the fitness fashionistas work out.
